This past week Kenya lost one of its finest gospel artistes Kaberere, who passed on last Sunday. It was quite a sad & emotional week for the whole country, but one thing that shone well throughout the tragedy was the fact that Kaberere’s brought us all together. It made us think about life & death, and how well we live our life when here on earth. Life is brief, there is no guarantee on how long we all to live, but one thing we can control is the legacy we leave in this world after we are gone. So, let us all love boundlessly, give freely, and serve God like tomorrow will never come.
Well, well, yet another lovely day that we get to share with you another amazing story from another beautiful couple. Faith & I are story tellers, our medium is the camera & our characters are the bride, groom & their family & friends. Today we feature the wonderful story of Chris & Triza, and a very beautiful story it is. I 1st met them one fine evening just before Christmas last year at Village Market, where we sat & they shared with me their vision for their wedding and we talked how we would make their day a timeless memory. Later on we got to talk frequently prior to the wedding, despite our crazy schedules since we were both planning our own weddings. Thank God, the day finally came when Chris got to marry this beautiful girl of his dreams…Triza. It was such a beautiful wedding…as you will see from the images they have the warmest smiles in the world & their love story is one of the best we have ever told. So, ladies & gentlemen allow us to present to you…Triza & Chris’ love story…

I loved their custom made flintstone’s wedding invites
Let us start the post with some wedding details….this is what we start shooting once we get to the bride & groom’s prep locations
Loved the simplicity of their rings…Faith caught this amazing images
Rose’s make up kit. This is how you know a profession, simply by their tools of trade
Rose does what she does best…dolling up the girls
Loved the African lessos that the girls had on during the make-up session, bringing in a little bit of the African touch
A sneak peek of our beautiful bride of the day, Triza
James spruces up the hair on one of the maids
Triza had one of the loveliest smiles in the world that she kept on for the entire day
I always view the human face as the Make-up artiste’s canvas, on which they get to create their master piece
Laugh, laugh away…forget all your worries and be the pretty bride
Red lip colour is always a win, win!!
Mean while Chris was getting his shine on
Getting those cuff links in place
Loved this combination much & the Jambo Kenya seat-throw
And Chris’ wonderful trademark smile had to make an appearance somewhere 🙂
Suited up & ready to get married to the girl of his dreams…bow-ties are a must have gentleman accessory
The brown shoes!!!! WIN!!!!!
212 VIP was in the building….it deserved a spot on the blog too
Back at Trizah’s the girls were looking breath-taking!!!!
Rose did such a remarkable job with the make-up. Just as a side not to #FutureBrides that make up is really really crucial. Do not just shop around for make up artists & hair stylists based on cost alone. Ensure that you are see their work & love what they do…since good make up goes a long, long way into creating amazing images for your wedding. Believe me it does help a lot.
James works on Triza’s hair
And it was time for portraits….both me & Faith in different locations took portraits at the same time….how cute 🙂
Loved loved the portraits of the bridal team
Chris looked really ready for the day…and he was adequately prepared to fight for their love 🙂 all the days of their lives!
And then Triza got into her gown & she looked absolutely amazing
Loved this shot….kids do make the best subjects ever….too too cute
Chris is no average achiever…he settles for nothing but the very best, judging from his trophy wall, Arsenal FC has a thing to learn from Chris’ achievements 🙂
And the gentlemen cheered to a great day ahead!
And some more portraits
Triza’s blood sister who also doubled up as her maid of honour
Lovely indeed!!!! sibling love
One super-wide shot of Triza & her maids
That timeless gazing into the distance was not to miss from her shot-list 🙂
Trizah and her equally lovely mother, now we see where she got all her beauty from 🙂
Triza gets veiled by dad & mum
And off she was to get married to her knight in shining armour
And Triza gets handed over to Chris’ folks
Just before we left I encountered this furry fellow who was not too amused that we were carrying off Triza to be married 🙂
And after her feline threats were ignored she resorted to throwing tantrums & just being a cat 🙂
Loved this one!!
It was an all black VX affair
The church was very well set up…the decor was simple & exquisite
1st up down the aisle was Chris & his folks
Then the bridal team walked in two by two just like in Noah’s ark 🙂
Noah’s Ark indeed
The maid of honour walked in solo though!
And how cute this little princess was!
And the moment we all had been holding bated breath for!!!! Triza walked down the aisle
Chris steals a glance at his beautiful bride…it had been a looooong time coming!
Loved her look!
Some shots of the congregation
And the girls kept giggling & laughing made for some great photo-ops
And then Thellesi’s camera just sat there and posed for me 🙂
Caught her laughing out loud right at the opportune moment!
The wide array of guzzlers, reminds me of the Parliament’s parking lot 🙂
Back at the alter, Chris gets to unveil his bride
Loved the ritual where both their right hands are tied together with the unifying cloth, truly marriage is the dissolving of two souls to become one
Laughter is indeed the best medicine
And everybody listened so attentively
And the laughter never did stop
That lip-locking moment when the priest proclaims that you may now kiss your bride 🙂
And they happily walked about the church waving to their family & friends whilst carrying the unity candle…spot me at the back trying to look photographical 🙂
The view from my camera as they danced back, oh there was so much joy & jubilation, typical for African weddings…I guess we have some of the most fun weddings in the globe
This combination of images tells an awesome story, looks like the little angel is spying on Triz as she makes her contribution to the church!
Chris has his turn on the contribution box
One of the members of the choir caught my eye with his enthusiasm while belting out the notes, if only all of us were this excited about our jobs 🙂
This image reminded me of the song, All I need is one mic! I have no idea why 🙂
Such a beautiful image…it speaks a lot
And then they had hands laid on them…one of the most special moments in a wedding for us
Them receiving the congratulatory hugs…finally husband & wife
Certificate signing…aren’t these two just adorable….may their happiness last forever
Yes there we go…evidence for the entire world to see…for those who were still doubting or had hopes 🙂
The exit was super happy, jubilation all the way!!!! What God had put together, let no man or thing put asunder!
After the official portraits just at the entrance of the church, they got into the limo & we were off to the photo-session that was just a stone throw away
We got to the amazing Aladdin Gourmet Restaurant at Ridgeways & started off shooting.
The sun was really blazing hot but we rocked it away…
The girls smile at the little unborn child…this was one image I absolutely loved
We got an indoor location that they had set up for us, and we had a lot of fun, posing laughing & just being goofy
We discovered this lovely brown wall, and we decided to convert it to a mini high-fashion studio….and the bridal team killed it!
Then we had the guys jump in
Very beautiful people indeed
And we had everybody squeeze in for one mega shot just at the Restaurant’s entrance
Beautiful people only 🙂
And Chris had to get one shot with the girls, I wonder who made who look good here 🙂
Hahahaha this was one super-fun shot…I loved it heaps
We took some time away for some intimate shots of Triza & Chris…we had to get them away from the team, as their ooohs & aaahhhs as we were shooting them, were a beautiful distraction
Never too old fashioned for the age old rings’ shot! One of my all time favs
These two were too sweet & mushy mushy…made it really easy for us to bring out the love & emotion between them
And Chris transformed to Superman & saved the damsel in distress…well, we did not get the shot where they burst through the roof & flew into the milky way…it all happened too fast 🙂
When they came back to earth 🙂 we continued with our shoot
Too fiery!!!!! should be age restricted this one!!! Oh these two!!!
That awkward moment when find your lovely wife tending at the bar…well, you just go ahead & order a cocktail!
Well, errrmmm…romance in the work place is absolutely sexy
And then when we were just about to leave, Chris almost hit Triza with his sweet mini-cooper!!@#*
Thank GOD for good brakes 🙂
Well, the make up after the near mishap made it all worth it!!! This should be encouraged in marriages ***Hides
We took the limo ride with them to the reception for some fun pics
Hahahah as she was trying to hide from the shot…I made a point of including her in the shot just for kicks 🙂
Turning up the heat in the limo since they had the AC too high up 🙂
Cheers to a wonderful life ahead
Loved the set up at the reception, very delightfully done
The Chicken turmeric was still gives me the tummy jitters 🙂 Yummiest chicken I have had in a while
The table for the royals!
When we got to Everlush Gardens we got a rousing welcome…the ladies were alive with song & dance
Oh my the amount of singing & jubilation that characterises Kenyan weddings…always does it for me…Yes marriages ought to be a celebration…because this is an institution that is ordained by the most high
Playing that imaginary guitar
They family & friends too partied along with them…the joy & jubilation was air borne!
We were all having too much fun in the sun
And when the guys came out, they were here for a long time!
And when they dared the gentlemen to get down, they went very very low literally!
Cheers to the newly weds, well…whoever coined that You Only Live Once phrase, might have been right 🙂
Just before we cut the cake…Triza & Chris danced to the ballad ‘Suddenly’ by Billy Ocean
It was Oh so lovely, they danced & sang along to each & every lyric, it was too special
Once in a while…Triza transformed to the blushing bride
While the guys shot away on their mobile devices…
The girls cheered away
This has to be the only way to get married 🙂
Oh this was so very beautiful, hope they will keep singing, smiling & laughing together always…for all the days that the Lord will grant them life here on earth
introducing to you guys the most awesome cake gazebo ever created by man 🙂 I can only imagine the kind of work that went into creating it!!!!! & the all those white roses!!!!
And together as husband & wife they cut their wedding cake together
And then they started distributing cake to their bridal team…the expressions on their faces were priceless
And the lovely ladies loved to smile too, after effects of hanging out with Triza & Chris I bet
And that champagne pop was for the record books and me & my beloved camera got a good dose of the champagne too just for the record. The shot was well worth the liquor shower 🙂
Hahahaha this should be dubbed the ‘Best-way-to-get-champagne-all-over-your-spouse’ shot
The traditional African casserole as I love to call it…a.k.a gourd
And that moment we had all been anticipating eagerly….the single ladies bouquet toss
A close up of what happened micro seconds before the bouquet landed on the ladies’ outstretched arms
And the lucky girl who caught the bouquet….
After this we headed to the Panari Hotel where they have an ice skating rink, and we had a lot of fun
The ski rink was full of other patrons too. We arrived just in time to catch the last session between 9-10pm. The ice was really cold & so slippery, we took precautions to ensure that Chris & Triza did not slip & fall. The instructors there got us the dolphins for support and were close by just incase they lost their balance
I totally loved this place…definitely we are hitting the skating rink soon to familiarise ourselves with skating, its part of Faith & I’s bucket list
Chris opted to learn a bit more about skating….got this shot as the instructor helped him around the ski rink giving him a few pointers
After we were done with the rink, we decided to take some more shots about the hotel before they left for their evening party….albeit all the fatigue Chris & Triza had…theirs smiles & joy never did wan at any time
Loved the game of pool, I cannot remember who won the game though!
And Triza serenaded Chris too by the grand piano
The serenading did not go on for too long before this happened 🙂
After this we hit their suite for some last look images, Trizah & Chris were amazing sports and really pushed their fatigue limits for final images
Love these final images!!!!
And with these, we called it a night…it had been an amazing day filled with so much joy, laughter & fun. Faith & I are really grateful to have been part of this journey & telling this amazing love story between Triza & Chris. We wish you guys only the best…and know that your joy has not known its limits yet, you have a life time to share in your love that our good Lord has blessed you so much with
We love you much truly,
God’s ultimate blessings always,
