Glory be to God! We are absolutely honoured & elated to share with you another amazing love story which we shot last year in March. God has been really gracious to us and has brought by our way some really amazing people. We do not take for granted the honour & favour that God has accorded us, we consider it our own ministry in which we can be able to minister & touch the lives of the many couples God brings our way. God gets the glory, we just do the work.
Without further ado, we would love to share this perfect wedding of some of the loveliest people ever, Nimu & TK
In mid-2012, Wairimu and I got introduced through a mutual acquaintance who wanted her to meet new people as she moved to Calgary, Canada, for the first time, for an internship position at the same company I worked for.
I reached out to her via text and we met up for coffee (I still remember what she wore that day). I admired the simplicity and the quiet confidence that surrounded her and the rest as they say is history.
We went on many movie dates after that first meeting and eventually we started dating in late 2012. On Dec 30, 2015, I proposed to her at my family home in front of her brother, cousin, my sisters and my parents.
She said yes!
I guess when they say that it happens when you least expect it, they weren’t kidding. In mid-2012, I got to meet TK through a mutual acquaintance. I had moved to Calgary in January 2012 for an internship at the same company he worked at. What is interesting is that, TK and I both lived in Edmonton at the same time, I knew a few of the same people and we did not cross paths until I moved to Calgary – things sure do happen in God’s time 🙂
The day I met TK, I didn’t think anything about it. I was suffering from a cold, had the sniffles and was constantly taking huge sips of my hot tea, lol. To be quite honest, I did not think anything would come from it and was curious to see how things would go. One thing led to another and we started texting, then calling and watching a lot of movies, lol. Our friends would always make fun of us on how often we went to the theatre.
As I reflect, I believe that it was God leading us right to each other!
TK is extremely confident, has a huge heart and is patient. He brings out the best in me (for the most part, lol), he is my friend, my fan and my personal accountant, hehe; seeing as he is so good at managing money. When he asked me to marry him, I was speechless – I remember my hands shaking, running away to gather my thoughts and eventually being able to respond with excitement at the idea of getting old and spending my life with TK! It was sweet that some of my family, his family and one of my closest friends got to share that experience with us too 🙂
