It is very rare to find two people who sat through the same boring class lectures, did very much the same non-exciting C.A.Ts, went for the same class trips…finally get married to each other. How unlikely is it that two people, who did the same course at campus, years apart, finally get married? Yes, that unlikely story happens to be Josephine & Sam’s love story. A wonderful odd of sorts that brought this two together & now they are bound together for life under God’s beautiful earth 🙂 Josephine & Sam did Computer Technology at JKUAT, the very same campus that Gathoni & I attended though I finished earlier than both of them.
Sam & Josephine booked us way before we ever met, which Gathoni & I valued so highly, we then met randomly at the super-market alley while shopping, and they introduced themselves as Josephine & Sam, whom we had only chatted at length over mail & Whatsapp. Their wedding was a thorough blast….Sam & Josephine have to be the loveliest people to be around…we had so much fun together. They treated us like we were part of their large families, never at one point did we feel like we had been hired to do a job. Their love story is so wonderful, that Gathoni & I thanked our good Lord for making our paths cross, weddings should be more like this….so, without much more random ramblings, I present to you, Josephine & Sam’s amazing love story

We have to give it up to Josephine!!! Her taste in shoes deserves a ‘Shoe Oscar’ 🙂
Simple is the only way to go…
Them leaves look bling out really good !!!!
I asked Mike, my brother cum assistant, to hold out the wedding invite as I grabbed the shot
Meanwhile at the guy’s den!!! Breakfast was served!!!
I guess Computer Technology has a whole unit dedicated to footwear!!!! Sam & Josephine are too fresh!!!
A wedding ain’t a wedding till the cat come through!!!! and their family cat was kind enough to sniff out the rings off any explosives before Gathoni shot ’em!
Our dashing groom of the day, SAM!
The gentlemen as always clean up good, very good
Back at Josephine’s, it was time to get the girls all dolled up
This cute lil’ angel had the loudest hair in the room…Big hair, don’t care!
Our super-excited bride of the day, the gorgeous Josephine
Hmmm…that awkward moment when….. 🙂
Bow, tied up, ready to get herself married!
Hahahaha…whoever said that in Africa we got no winter? Here’s hard evidence for you
Such a sweet photo!
The girl in the mirror!
Love me a pair of some good ‘brows!!! and the view from the top always kills it
Josephine has such lovely eyes
The finished look was perfection, the smiles of approval tell it all
There was a team of women cheering her from up the stairs…and Josephine’s face lit up!
There was such a large group of women, all here to receive the beautiful bride in line with African culture
With the folks
Checking in to the ceremony like we own the place 🙂
The girls hit the red carpet!
The church was packed to capacity and as usual, the women were gracefully adorned to spice up the occasion
The bridal team check in
Sam looks on, pensively….as Josephine is handed over to the presiding priest by her folks
Where you go, I go….I will follow you
Gentlemen!!!! Stripped ties are definitely the way to go
She led responsorial psalm so well, well….just in case you are looking for someone to do it 🙂
The golden vows…to me, those same vows come close to what Christ did for us on the cross…that is why the bible speaks to us men, to love our wives sacrificially, as Christ loved the church
And when the priest gave them the green light…it was all systems go, well more like lips, not systems 🙂
Double love from the folks
And Sam’s mum was overcome by emotion…such a precious, precious moment
And next was Josephine’s dad…oh weddings are made by such life changing moments
Afterwards, Sam presented to Josephine a bracelet, as an eternal sign of his undying love for her
Presenting their offertory gifts to the Lord’s alter
Some of the gifts lie at the base of the alter
The lovely maids impress in their ‘Nairobi Blue’
That wonderful moment, deep in prayer
After this love was shared all round…
And in the midst of all the chaos, Josephine & Sam managed a sneak in a Kiss 🙂
Catholic choirs always do me in with their mastery in song. On a side note, when was the last time you saw such lovely tie & dye outfits?
Caught Josephine LOL’ing as the dancers showcased! 🙂 Nothing like a joyous bride
Loved the way the priest kept Josephine’s hair off her face as she signed the all important document
Josephine is handed the certificate for safe keeping
More precious moments
The Holy Sacrament
We caught dad & mum taking a Selfie 🙂 if only all of our parents were this cool 🙁
And with a joyous recession, the ceremony was done…it was time now for the portrait session
Their venue of choice was the lush Windsor Golf & Country Club for the portrait session
Oh I really love this side profile
AND WHAT WAS THAT SHE SAID AGAIN????????
‘Just kidding, she was just tripping’ 🙂
This is them laughing at my nerdy jokes 🙂
Man….how is that everybody now wants to be a wedding photographer ? ***As I find another interesting career
My view…well, next time I will put up a sign, NO DISTRACTIONS PLEASE
Hotness was everywhere you looked
That Aaaaaawww mother & daughter moment
I really wonder how even their mother tells them apart!!! (Two peas in a pod)
Just incase Kenya is still looking to fill up the rugby team……you are welcome 🙂
We had some loose time to go all high fashion & all…
You know you are pretty awesome when the bride photobombs your pic
While some took the moment to pop the big Q, well, (For those who are asking) he got a maybe….so a brother needs to try harder 🙂
Very loud noisy crew…the management nearly chased us out for DTP (Disturbing Tha Peace) 🙂
We sneaked indoors with Sam & Josephine to take some intimate pics
This Black & white images does it for me….Black & white will never die
Oh such beautiful images
Fire!!!! Someone call the security!!!! It’s illegal to be this fiery!
Up, up went the bride of the day….and the men, simply walked away not caring whether Josephine landed or not 🙂
And when Josephine landed, she was a changed woman 🙂
When I say she was a changed woman, I mean it, she went & changed 🙂 to an African outfit i.e. 🙂
The party was jumping!!! This is how we party this side of the Sahara!!!!
This is the fly-your-hands-like-a-plane move 🙂
Beautiful people only
So much much joy, oh nothing like authentic African weddings
Just in case you came to this wedding for the wrong reason, be very afraid 🙂
The very loud youth members from St.Joseph’s. They made the wedding really fun!!!
The lovely ushers at the gift desk
Muthoni and her 2 sisters dropped by to say hi to Gathoni & I, the only logical thing was to take a pic together
The must have ritual in every African wedding…
I see you little angel
The had such a beautiful & yummy cake, well set up
1st meal together as husband & wife
Josephine knew her wifely duties quite well
That’s some good wine , wasn’t it, bae?
Some little girls there have began practising pretty early 🙂
May the best girl win 🙂
We dropped by The Bonds Gardens Restaurant in Upper Hill for the evening party. Though, just before the party started, we decided to take a few portraits by the pool side
Despite all the fatigue, Josephine & Sam were such good sports and co-operated with our direction
We just ignored the waiters & shot on 🙂
And then Josephine & Sam told us that they were ok with getting into the cold pool… we had no option but to honour their heart’s desires 🙂
Maaaaaaaannnnn…that water was coldddddd!!!!!….too cold to be precise, but they took it like its something they do every day 🙂
After they dried & freshened up, they did their 1st dance and it was oh so beautiful…we were too tired to stay on for the after party, so we left…feeling very much fulfilled that this had been one amazing story that we had just been part of
And with this last image, the curtain falls to this very lovely love story of 2 Computer scientist, who have found lasting love in each other arms. Josephine & Sam, here’s to many more happy years together, may your wonderful smiles never fade & may you live the wonderful life that God has placed ahead of you to live…
You know we love you 🙂
God’s abundant blessings,
