It is our pleasure to show case another beautiful wedding. Kui & Bruno’s wedding was so beautiful…we had been anticipating it for so long and had been in planning for even longer. They got married some time last year in one of the most beautiful white weddings we have ever attended. Kui & Bruno are such precious people and being with them, their family & friends on their wedding day was in deed a dream come true…
We took the time to ask Kui how this love story came to be & this is what she had to say about it…
We were in the same Global Executive MBA class in the TRIUM program which is an alliance between New York University, London School of Economics, and HEC Paris. At the time I was living in the US and Bruno in Europe. Bruno was meant to attend the program a year earlier but deferred his admission to the following year. I was also vacillating on whether to attend the program as I was contemplating a career change. Being in the program at the same time was nothing short of a miracle and a gift from God as it took several decisions to coincide in order for this alignment to occur. We got to know each other and fell in love during the 18-month program where we attended six, 2-week modules in different cities around the world. By the end of the program, Bruno proposed to me at the top of the Eiffel tower and I accepted. Later, when I brought Bruno to meet my family in Kenya (a year before our wedding) Bruno went to my village in Murang’a to ask my parents and the village elders for their blessings to marry their daughter. We had a Roracio ceremony where Bruno gave goats according to tradition 🙂
A year later, we had our Ngurario in Murang’a and then a Christian garden wedding the following weekend at Windsor Golf Resort. The rest as they say is history….

We started off bright & early at Windsor where the guys were preparing
Bruno was a very detailed groom and we made sure every fine detail was documented
The girls were preparing at a very lovely location in the Nairobi suburbs
Kui’s gown hangs in all its glory
Such gorge bridal heels courtesy of Benjamin Adams
Our lovely bride of the day, Kui
James works his magic on the girls
I adored Kui’s gown, the lace work was something out of a fairy story
So much beauty in these images
Back at Windsor, Bruno was putting final touches on the day’s schedule
Bruno’s blazer had been inscribed with his local ‘Kikuyu’ name ‘Kingori’, which he had been christened by the village elders
After a scrumptious break-fast & suit fittings the guys were good to go
Beautiful portrait of father & daughter
A white Lincoln Limousine was here to pick up the beautiful bride
And when Kui was finally revealed
Cheer & jubilation broke the quiet of the suburban estate
Loved this portrait of a pensive & brooding Kui, thinking of the life she was about to start, as a wife & helper to the man who she adores
At Windsor, the ceremony location was all set in grandeur….their location of choice was Kigwa view, overlooking the picturesque lake
And keeping up with the greatness of his name, Bruno walked down the aisle with a Bruno Mars song
And then, we all held our breath as Kui walked gracefully down the Windsor steps
Mum and dad joined her and escorted her down the flowery aisle
Bruno’s face lights up with glee when he first sees his beautiful bride
The glorious meeting of two souls meant to be together
Rev. Karanja prays for the soon to be husband & wife, blessing the journey they are just about to embark
Lots of beautiful, raw-emotion when the parents release their precious children to be married to each other
Bruno, excited like a little child, gets to unveil his beautiful bride
When I first saw them, I too, thought I was seeing double 🙂
The proverbial, ‘Tiniest hand-cuffs of life’ 🙂
Too much fun
Aren’t these two, the world’s most gorgeous couple?
The unity sand-ceremony; signifying the two souls that now beat as one…for all eternity
Mushiness!!!! many a teary-sniff could be heard from the crowd & photographers a like 🙂
Kui & Bruno, we pray that such joy as this, may be your portion always, now & forever!
A couple that learns to pray together, stays together
One of my day’s favourite image…this image captures their spirits & personalities perfectly
Both families together, Kui happens to enjoy the blessing of being brought up by both Kenyan & American parents
All over hugs, selfies and love were being dished out in droves
Such compatibility in two very diverse individuals is so rare, Kui & Bruno you do have something special
The traditional kikuyu dancers were here to cheer them on too!
Everyone was jostling for a photo-op! tough job we photographers have
After this we found our way to the golf course’s 10th tee…for some fun portraits
If this ain’t love, then I don’t know what is…..
What a gorgeous family they all make
With Kui’s sister
With Fabrice, the best man
The guys, stunning it out!
Kui with her maids : Shabeen, Jacky & Melalite
Loved this picture with all the girls together
The guys with their wives
The girls go all Vogue on us 🙂
Kui and her beautiful niece
Come to think of it, that golf cart does handle weight well 🙂
Windsor in all its green, gracious glory!
Kui had the photo-bomb of the year!
We still had some time to sneak in some solo portraits of the love birds
And with that, we were back to the reception, received by a very enthusiastic crowd with lots of African song & dance
Kui & Bruno opted for a dome set up for the reception. Very nicely done
Dance like david danced
Hats off to the fellow who said that women make the best photographers
You cannot have an African dance without some leg shaking!
And some belly-dancing too
Ladies, our best sunshine smiles in 3,2,1…..
Despite having lived in the States for so long, Kui was not one to forsake her traditions
Oh!!! I have never heard of better speeches…they were so hilarious & emotional at the same time
Hats off to Steve, Kui’s American father, who gave one of the best speeches I have heard in a loooong time!
Lots of emotion everywhere
And then the guys & ladies all got to give their speeches….I have never laughed so hard!
After this it was turn for Kui & the ladies to show the guys why African women are the queens of the dance floor
Then it was time for the battle for the bouquet…
The winner boasts with her hard-earned/fought trophy 🙂
Later, we got to watch both their photo-journeys and how both their lives have been…
For me this was the highlight of the wedding…I have watched nothing this beautiful and many of us were in tears after it was all done
After the photo-journey, Kui & Bruno had a perfectly choreographed 1st dance…definitely couples should learn from their example and get their moves in sync
They got a standing ovation from their guests
And then all the couples too got a chance to showcase their best moves
Bruno swept his bride off her feet in typical French style
The ladies approved as you can see!
And then it was time for the cake…Cake Art never does dissapoints
Kui blesses the meal
Hahahahahaha…these two tweet-hearts 🙂
Toast to the bride & groom…to a long & happy life ahead
Hahahaha these two clowns!
After the toast, it was time to get down, party the evening away
Loads of love for the gorgeous bride
We partied like there was not tomorrow
Bruno gets to blow the African horn
Just before the sun dipped into the horizon, we took some portraits at the golden hour
Windsor General Manager, Mr. Marc Van der Borght, also dropped by to congratulate the newly weds
My best hour for portraits, the golden hour!
And with this beautiful image…we called it a day and the curtains fell to such a gorgeous wedding….Kui & Bruno, even though you are many miles away and many months have passed since your wedding, we know that God will bless you & enlarge your territories…to many, many more blessed years ahead!!!!
