It was a warm summer morning. I woke up early and got ready for church. I happened to sit next to a beautiful lady during the church service. I could tell from the way she talked to me that she was so kind and smart . We had a great conversation shortly after the church and unfortunately, this beautiful lady had to leave. She seemed to be in a hurry and for some sad reason, I forgot to get her phone number. I never saw this lady again until one time a mutual friend tagged me and her on one of the photos that he had taken of me and her in church during the church service.
The lady (Judy) commented on the photo and I immediately sent her a friend request and in no time we were chatting on Facebook messenger like old friends reconnecting after a long time. At that time, I was living in Minneapolis and she was living in Allentown, PA. After chatting on Facebook for a while, we exchanged phone numbers and we started calling each other almost all the time. Some nights we spoke till dawn and had to get ready and go to work in the morning…I had fallen in love and really enjoyed talking to Judy and I wished she lived closer to me so I could visit or she could visit whenever we could. In the winter of 2014, she came to visit me in Minneapolis since then we became inseparable. I praise God for giving me the opportunity to marry my best friend. – Nick

Nick’s definitely my kind of guy. Simple yet in a class of its own
The man of the decade, Nick and that sleek tux fit like a glove
Them shoes are out there like Rihanna, shining bright like a diamond
We had Nick pose by the GRVL pathway, the morning Naivasha sun breaking through the trees. Looking like an enigma of sorts.
Judy’s David’s Bridal heels, lying there unbothered on her stunning veil
Nick made us men look bad, when he got his blushing bride a Samsung Galaxy 2019 smart watch as her wedding gift
Judy, glowing and radiant. The African sun was no match to her smile
Mirror, mirror on the wall, whose the fairest of them all?
Judy brought her A+ game to the bridal boudoir shoot. Hey, you only get to get married once…right?
Judy unapologetically serving that fierce look in truck loads…
A good laugh was sufficient to scare off the butterflies partying in Judy’s tummy 🙂
Nothing beats having amazing bridesmaids, cheering you on, on the best day of your life
The champagne popped before we were ready, nothing like a genuine moment captured on camera
Cheiiii!!! That dress!!! Straight from the Princess diaries to Naivasha
Whoever said we leave those looking down posses in 2019, never saw Judy do one 🙂
Look at us smiling and acting all cute, ignoring all the pressure behind me that we were running late for the ceremony
We got our own little version of the Royal wedding in the Great Rift Valley Lodge
This is how we rolled into the ceremony, fashionably late 🙂
The ceremony looked like something out of a photographer’s day dream. Simple & exquisite
Baby’s-breath flowers only. Roses and carnations are so last decade 🙂
Nick and the guys trying to look all cool & calm. The time had finally come, time to marry the girl of his dreams
The flower girls, as cute as identical buttons
Judy walking down the grassy isle to her knight in shining tux armour
Nick going through the motions of his personalised vows
Game-face on. Every vow had to be well thought out, till death my friend, till death
And with this blingy, shiny ring they did wed.
Most important signature you will ever have to draw in your life.
And they sealed their marriage with a KISS. Look at the adorable best couple cheering them on
Cutest couple North of Limpopo & south of the Sahara
The folks, proud as ever to be alive to witness the fruit of their womb get hitched
Once the guests left for the mock-tails, we took advantage of the ceremony location for some portraits
A couple that slays together, stays together right?
We moved to the view point over-looking Lake Naivasha…absolutely breath-taking. Every person alive needs to experience it at least once in their lifetime 🙂
The Naivasha skies were threatening to open on us…I live for such times as this.
Who did it better? Lets do a poll (1 or 2) in the comments section 🙂
Also as you can see all movie posters are shot in this typa weather 🙂
As you can clearly see the only person not laughing here is Nick.
Nick showing the boys that there’s a new sheriff in town 🙂
Am selling this picture to such initiatives as Power to the people, Black Lives matter, Who will save the boy-child et al 🙂
I brought back the looking away shot in 2019 and its still cool as heck 🙂
Clearly the girls brought some ‘light’ in the picture :). Talk of a lit picture 🙂
Once in a while life gives you a great gent’s walking picture. This was that once in a while
The back details of this gown are a dress-makers fairy tale.
Picture the bridal party behind me over my shoulder ooohiing & aaahing the blushing couple
They banned flying drones and ruined my perfectly circular bride lying down shot. Truly hilarious seeing us trying not to fall over Judy for this shot
Kudos to the girls for smiling even though they were almost having a 1 lb camera crush their shining smiles
Judy’s 2 sisters crushed the shot. Adding a bit of life to all the monotone
DISCLAIMER: No Photographers were seriously hurt in the making of this shot 🙂
Judy and Yvonne were as picturesque as the location we were in
Look at these two!!!! Heaven made the perfect match here
This is how we will be spending our weekends, out here in the green. Well, till the children come i.e. 🙂
Tag whoever said they don’t believe in true love. If this isn’t evidence enough, then what is?
It was time to head back to the reception, to dancing and sumptuous food
When I said dancing, this is exactly what I was referring to
The guys clearly knew what bringing down the house meant
Judy too served some fresh moves on the dance floor too
Happiness is getting to share your 1st meal together as husband & wife together with your guests
But 1st let’s indulge. The guests can wait right?
To joy, merry making and definitely some baby-making…Cheers!!!
We stepped out doors and lit some Chinese lanterns to signify they coming together as husband and wife
We all made a wish and prayer to the newly weds and let the lanterns fly into the night Naivasha skies
Judy & Nick,
When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far and nobody can keep them apart.
With Love & God’s Blessings~ The Kiruthis
