Glory be to God!!! that today we get to share with you another beautiful love story…Gathoni & I are more than privileged to get to work with two people so in love, interact with them, be part of their families and so to say part of their lives. We never take it for granted to be blessed with such an opportunity by our loving God…and as long as God gives us life & breath we will keep using our lives & lenses to tell these amazing love stories.
Today we have the joy of presenting to you Jen & Stace’s love story. We met these two amazing souls as they were planning their wedding & we hit it fast as friends…We took the time of asking them how this love story came to be & this is what they had to say…
….I went to JKUAT to earn an MBA in Marketing while she went in to earn a Masters in Strategic Management while hoping to land a husband in the process. Women don’t limit their ambitions yawa! while men still can’t multitask 🙂 … the sheer will of a woman!!
Sep-11, the story begun from class-mates to all-time mates. From Westie and LA (Langata) lovers through West-mall barbecue days to across-Skype lovers.
In truth, God’s vision is astonishing. He put us in the same place without us even knowing it. As children, barely through nursery we were neighbours… as if a chance granted to get a glimpse of the future spouse…unfortunately, we let Him down a bit by never having met or remembering it, though in time we’ve had a blast making up for it 🙂
An engagement in 2013 started off what was to be a 2nd phase of a long-distance relationship. Though difficult, through stretches of time apart, every moment back home was an exclusive vacation time respected even by family. An experience of UAE was a dream and we lived it together through many firsts while engaged. I went down on one knee, (actually both :)) with a gem from this place and she said yes!
A banker and business analyst would be thought of shy of any fun. We’ve shared moments (anything but bland) in 3 years of dating. We’ve completed each other through tough-love driving tutorials, partners in business, surreal vacation travels, and awesome chemistry between family and friends.
Love, Jen & Stace….

In the mean time at Jen’s place…Wachira was busy dolling up the ladies
Wachira wa Kahihia hair & make-up skills are too good…its so unique meeting an artist who can do both so well
Jen’s David’s Bridal gown was simple yet so stylish
Jen made an absolutely gorgeous bride…so easy to photograph 🙂
Jen’s eyes glisten with tears as she is handed over to Stace’s folks
Then the tears turned to joy
Jen & Stace had prepared for us a simple set up under the trees overlooking the beautiful Karura forest
Stace & the guys arrived at the ceremony earlier than everyone else…the guys were just giving his wife choosing skills a thumbs up 🙂
Isn’t yellow such a gorgeous wedding theme colour?
Stace dances to meet his beautiful bride with her folks
Aren’t they the world’s most gorgeous couple?
The presiding minister gave such a hilarious sermonette
Stace get’s the honours of unveiling his beautiful bride…and just to really confirm that He was not going to become the second Jacob 🙂
So much joy in one ceremony…we pray that this joy will last with you till you ol’ and grey!
‘And who gives this lady to be married to this gentleman?’
And likewise Eustace too was handed over to be married 🙂
And the two families become one big beautiful family
And when Jen spoke her promise to Stace….
Tears flowed…or so I hope 🙂
Is that a tear I see balancing on Jen’s eye too?
That ring gotta go in!!!!
No idea what was happening here, I just love all their expressions 🙂
Cathy was all smiles the entire day
One of my favourite moments is the priestly blessing…this is one of the most precious moments of any wedding as no marriage can work without GOD, none whatsoever!
They got jokes as you can clearly tell 🙂
And when the minister announced ‘You may now kiss the bride’ 🙂
We got the kiss of the century
while these innocent kiddos got the shot of the century too 🙂
After such a fun ceremony it was time to make our way to the portrait session…
Jen & Stace chose the beautiful Tribe hotel for their portrait session….let’s just say we had the time of our lives!
It was all systems go!
And then we had the crazy pictures….
Crazy is good for me, very good 🙂
Hahahaha, we all know that Stace does love to mark his own territory
Hahahah who said groundies are out of season!
Hahahahah loved this picture right here 🙂
Edu & Helen made that scary stature actually look cute
Caught this private moment as they just sat there like there was no one else in the world 🙂
Love the contrast!

Everybody got to #ShareACoke
After this we were back to Karura for the reception!
I love me a good stretch tent, well set up!
Almost all the women turned up to welcome us to the reception
The men too were not to be left behind!
MC Peter Gitau did quite a spectacular job in getting us all to dance
Eustace got to flex his bulging muscles quite a bit
Hahahah that piece of cake must have been pretty big to warrant the ‘eyes’ 🙂
And after the tough battle for the bouquet…it was time to head to our evening shoot
We were back to The Tribe, this time to one of the most gorgeous hotel suites we have ever visited. Their ambassadorial suite
Loved these two portraits of them
The architecture & finishing is absolutely out of this world!
And with this fiery image, it was time to head to back to Karura for the afterparty!!
Jen & her bro battle it out on the dance floor
They looked absolutely gorgeous!
This was one awesome party we had loads of fun, food & music
And everyone pulled out their best move!
Hahahaha too much to handle ?
And Stace got all the guys respect!
And then it was time for the mock-karaoke!
Just in case the DJ got tired, he had willing replacements 🙂
Every couple busted their own moves
Gorgeous people only!!!
I spotted the beautiful Jaya
Helen & Michael make such a gorge couple!
Hahahah just in case anyone forgot 🙂
And before we called it a night….
Their amazing last look portraits
Whoever said that marriage is not a beautiful thing had not seen this!
Every night should be like this!
Yesssss!!!! I live for images like this!
And with this —-> we heard the honeymoon bells ringing 🙂 It was definitely time to go
After this beautiful portrait…the wedding was over, it was time for Stace & Jen to begin their beautiful life together as husband & wife!
Jen & Stace thank you so much for welcoming us into your lives and letting us be part of your beautiful wedding….truly we cannot imagine what God has in store for you as you both begin this new chapter of your lives together…God speed!
