I am blessed, beyond blessed to be able to share this beautiful wedding that we shot some months ago. God has been really faithful and we do not take life or this work that he has blessed us with, for granted. I do it all for his glory & his name and I pray that this will be a reflection of God’s awesomeness in our life, always & forever.
So, today I get to share with you this very beautiful love story between two very lovely souls. Here is how this love story came to be…..
‘We met at work. I had been offered a job at the company where Helen worked. On my first day, I was being taken around the floor being introduced to my new colleagues and remember seeing Helen and thinking she is absolutely stunning. Lucky for me my workstation was by the coffee machine and Helen would pass by every morning to make her coffee. After a few weeks I had drummed up enough courage and asked her out. After the first date I had to travel and things went quiet for a few months. We had a mutual friend in the office and I told her I really like Helen but was not sure if she felt the same way. This friend being very outspoken told me to man up and ask her out again…I did (thank you Pat!) I fell in love soon after that… although, I must state that Helen said ‘I love you’ first!
Fast forward 2 years.. we had gone away for the weekend to Nyanyuki. I had bought the engagement ring and had to hide in several different places so that Helen would not find it. On the second evening, I planned with the concierge to decorate the suite with flowers and set out a bottle of champagne, strawberries and chocolate. I waited for sunset and took Helen back to the suite and proposed on bended knee… we then watched the sun set over Mt. Kenya from our balcony..’
