Well! this was one seriously fun wedding to shoot…you will tell from all the amazing photos in this post. This was Monica & Augustine’s white wedding. Monica is a childhood friend to Faith’s so it was a real privilege for us to be part of this day. As the title of the blog says..this was one of the most happy weddings we have documented in a long time. Monica & Augustine were awash with happy emotion and we had so many many happy moments that I was totally at a loss at which images not to blog from the thousands we took on that day 🙂
Anyways without further ado, here is one of the happiest & joyous wedding you will ever experience on the blog!
Ceremony :: ACK Kiamumbi Church
Reception :: Aqua Gardens
Photo-session :: Safari Park Hotel & Casino
Photography :: Faith & Ben
Monica’s flats were exquisite….heels be too mainstream 🙂
We found this little Maasai guy idling in the living room, made a really nice prop for Monica’s jewellery 🙂
The lovely gown hangs in all its glory!
Monica getting into her gown
Faith captured this amazing image with Monica & Augustines images…I haven’t read this book yet; but I will make a point at doing it #LateResolutions2013 🙂
Lovely moments during the bridal prep!
Her lovely maids were around her as her prep was being finalised, we got some pretty priceless images now
Big bridal team that was absolutely fun to shoot including these two lovely angels!
My signature morning bridal portrait was not one to miss
Loads of timeless moments to document
At the ceremony, Augustine was 1st to walk in…looking sharp
It was fun & laughter all the way
They clean up good now, don’t they?
That little boy looking up to heaven made my morning, saying a little prayer perhaps?
And the happy moments got off to a staggering start!
Monica’s mum was all smiles, despite the fact she was letting her little girl go
Augustine’s mum too 🙂
Oh & there was a battery of camera operators who really worked my nerve to a new high!!! God bless them all!!!
The bridesmaids reaction was not one to be missed, especially their encouraging ululations!
And the tears began flowing freely
Cute angel making faces during church time 🙂 She could get a real good spanking if her mama saw this 🙂
Happiness was on a roll!
The gold rings were pretty thick
One of my favourites of the day
1st Kiss as husband & wife!
Aaaaah these two were such happy souls
The choir did a wonderful job of belting out notes & yes they had the matching uniforms too 🙂
Gossip girls 🙂
Let’s clap the way the married people do!
He had a wonderful American accent & he read the bible so wonderfully, I had to take a good picture of him 🙂
This mic just sat there in all its glory, itching for a photo-op. I was not one to deny it, it’s 5 minutes of glory!
Beautiful photo of Monica & Augustine during the signing
The officiating minister kept cracking random jokes to the joy of me & my lens 🙂
Aaaaaahhhh this was a lovely, lovely wedding
The maid-of-honour did the prayer after the ceremony…that was pretty cool!
Fun, fun recession…dancing their way to a new life
After this we headed to Safari Park for the portrait session. It was really over-cast and very cold…and that worked like magic for our shoot! Also Peter, one of our assistants decided we try out a new location at Safari Park & with the resort’s permission we absolutely rocked it. Augustine & Monica’s bridal team are suckers for photos! and we had all the time in the world to do the shoot!
The whole fun bridal team, awesome peoples they be!
See that big bubble on the left, one of them little angels had the soap bubbles and was blowing them all up in the air
We did some portraits too, with Monica & the maids
Loved this shot!
Augustine & the guys were up next
Hahaha…I made them carry the bouquets & they made them look quite cool 🙂
Aaaaaaah this people clean out good!
The light was beautiful!
These kids know how to bring it!
Very cute, cute couple!
They were lighting up Safari Park literally! We had to use the fire-assembly point!
Never too old for some good-ol hide & seek
Just married never looked this good!
Back at Aqua gardens for the reception it was serious song & dance!
And laughter & joy was the main course on the menu!
And many private moments were in plenty too
And the maids challenged Monica to a dance-battle to see if she still got it even after the fellowship of the the ring 🙂
Yep she still got it!!!
The party was jumping, jumping!
🙂 Peter the MC! Hahahahaha am sure he will kill me for this one 🙂
The Vice Chancellor of Africa Nazarene University, Prof Leah Marangu was also in the building!
Everybody bust a move
Both young & old!
Happy, happy bride
You can just guess how big that piece of cake was 🙂
Hahaha….Faith was on the receiving end of that champagne spray and she & her beloved camera got a good lesson on where to stand during the pop!
And it was time for the bouquet toss! The single ladies at this wedding were too many & they had the energy of 3 soccer stadiums put together 🙂
Am sure a few weaves got ripped off in the process 🙂 Hahahahaha!
That’s it folks for today! hope you loved the post…we had a lovely time at this wedding. Monica & Augustine are the best friends ever & we thank God that we were part of this joyous celebration…life is too short not to enjoy it….
Have a blessed day guys!
Ben & Faith!
