Glory be to God!!! So much has been happening in our lives. We are so very grateful for life and also for us to be able to tell these amazing love stories through our lens. Every once I think of the love between a man & woman, I am taken back to the very powerful words of I Corinthians 13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. LOVE NEVER FAILS
Today. We celebrate the love between Fiona & Bob. One of the most genuine & most loving souls we ever did meet. This is Fiona & Bob; on the most special day of their life. The joy, laughter, tears, moments were so real, we were so blessed to have been part of such beautiful love as this. This is Fiona & Bob’s story

‘Fiona and I met on Nov 19th 2008 which also happened to be her birthday. A mutual friend took her out (to my house) since it was her birthday. Let me admit, I felt like the luckiest man in the planet! That was the beginning of a long chase by me and we started dating in 2009. I beat my friend to the chase (May the best man win literally :)). Though we remain very good friends to date and he was even in our wedding line up!! lol.
Ours has been a journey where we really got to know each other well. I proposed in June 20th 2013, thank God she said YES and the rest – as they say- is history.’ ****As told by Bob
We checked in to find Fiona absolutely relaxed. She was a bit pensive though, definitely pondering on this very important day in their lives. And the vows she was just about to say to this man whom she loved so much.
And on this very special day, Bob had taken his good luck tie. Bob told us that every time he wore this tie, he got a lot of favour wherever it is that he went. He called it, his little good-luck tie 🙂
You can spot a Florsheim shoe from a mile away. The shoe maketh the man!!!
Bob was in really high spirits as one of the groomsmen helps him to dress up
Almost ready to go….time to get married
Meanwhile at Fiona’s we started off shooting her details, these we knew were very close to her heart
As you already know by now, we are such suckers for the outdoors. God blessed us with such beautiful nature in Africa
Girls & heels are synonymous
Loved the simplicity of their wedding invites
Since Fiona is half Ugandan (Just like me :)) I discovered this 50K note some place in her suite 🙂 that’s a lot of money I guess 🙂
Hard evidence that Bob popped the big Q 🙂
Jess dolls up the girls
Manda & her sunshine smile were very present too
And yes, since we had some free time on our hands we decided to shoot the girls
The girls worked it!!!!
And when it was time for Fiona to get into her gown 🙂 —-> this happened!!!
Fiona rocking them heels
Give me a good reflection any day….always makes my day
Final touches & its almost time to go!
Gerbera is becoming the new wedding flower, guess that is why it is called the African Daisy
Best man is here…time to go!!!!
Love the way the ladies spread out the African khanga for the bride not to soil her little feet
This is how to get married, the African way!!!
And we checked in to the mighty All Saints cathedral
And then the procession commenced
Bob was clearly pretty excited
That breath-taking, beautiful moment when Fiona finally walked down the aisle to get married to the love of her life. Few tears were shed in the process 🙂
Fiona embraces her dad passionately during the hand over. I cannot imagine the thoughts that were going through his mind at this point in time
Let’s just say the little ones were giving me a good run of my photography money
The Officiating minister did quite a remarkable job
And Bob is officially handed over to be eternally joined to Fiona
Powerful moment right there
And then Bob got to unveil his beautiful bride. We did not want that awkward Jacob-Laban scenario rearing its ugly head again 🙂
And Bob took the entire veil off!!!! Why would anyone want to veil such beauty ?????
Rev. Simon of Parklands Baptist Church dedicates them to God
I spotted our good buddies Brian & Gem in the crowd looking uber cute!
Happy peoples!!!! Finally husband & wife
Bob checks out his gorgeous prized possession…his smile tells it all 🙂
And then finally, the KISS
Let’s just say, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step 🙂
And finally the declaration….the newest, freshest, cutest, hottest couple in town!!!!! Mr & Mrs Omamo
It was joy, joy, joy!!! Time to get this party on the road!!!
After this we drove down to Karura forest for the bridal party session, before they all arrived we took some intimate pics of Fiona & Bob
The gentlemen were up 1st
We decided to shoot by the waterfall, Karura has so many lovely locations, we decided to shoot use this one location so that we could maximise on our time here
And as it was getting darker
Fiona’s brother was having a hard time letting her go 🙂
Loved the reception set up
View from outside. The marquee tent looked gorgeous
When we got to the reception we started off with dinner
After dinner, we had the speeches. Fiona’s dad gave such a moving speech, it had us all in heaving in sobs
But after a little while, the smiles were back on
Harry Kimani made a surprise appearance & performed a special song for Fiona
Then it was time to cut the yummy cake
Then there was the best man’s toast & a host of hilarious stories
Cheers to the newly weds
Fiona got to do a dance with her father
And then with Bob, as they opened the dance floor
And then the party officially started!!!
Many many good times everywhere we turned
A brief shoot, then a change of clothes
And back to some more good times with their family & friends
And maaaaeeennnn!!! wasn’t there a lot of meat…we ate & ate & ate
And finally to cap the nigh, we did a last look shoot at The Tribe
The tribe is so beautiful there are a gazillion of yummy locations to shoot it
And with this epic pic we called it a night, a lovely end to a beautiful wedding…..
but before we sign out you have to check out this amazing trailer by the talented team behind Alko Films
