Java recently launched their slogan.. “Java love..” and that is really how it was.. I was having coffee with my sister one evening after work and it so happened that at the time we were in the process of planning an office function/event. Sat across us was this popular musician, that my sister pointed out, I was like yeah, in fact we are looking for artists for the event. As we were leaving, I decided to get this “famous artist’s” number and see if we could negotiate a good rate for a performance at the event. He graciously gave me his number and insisted that I give him mine. I thought nothing of it and did. For some reason I felt comfortable enough to do so which was unlike me. Long story short.. I never did call.. He did! And not about the event He invited me for coffee.. and another coffee.. here we are now.. we always knew we wanted more out of the relationship.. we always knew we wanted to get married not long after we began dating. We still love to do the java coffee dates.. Owen is such an amazing man.. a man of God, my pillar of strength, my forever love.
As the day drew nearer, I had so much peace..
We couldn’t stay away from each other as most soon to be married couples do .. he even came by to say good night and say a prayer the day before
He’s such a happy soul.. he’s such a cartoon, always makes me laugh even through the vows! (Or was it his way of fighting back the tears )

This wedding was so exquisite. I absolutely loved and enjoyed shooting every moment of it. The day started off with hair and makeup as usual. The talented makeup up artist went with bronze and peachy tones with a pop of pink that made her look very feminine and fresh faced. Every bride wants to look like the best version of themselves on their wedding day and it was no exception for Faridah. She looked spectacular!
The morning was pretty calm despite the hustle of ladies being a bit OCD about looking completely flawless all at the same time.
Her dress was the epitome of class, sassiness and fun. The cascading ruffles added a tinge of funk to the dress that made it perfect.
The neck piece and bead work embedded on the dress had a bit of sparkle that made Farida look like Cinderella. One would think fairy tales exist in this dress.
The hand made bouquets were absolutely gorgeous!
The fuchsia and purple blended so wonderfully .
sincere words and hugs were given as Farida presented each maid with a bouquet touched with a special message
No tears were spared as emotions swelled.
On the grooms side, Owen was a ball of excitement. I have honestly not seen so much zeal and happiness from a groom to be. He too was dressed in white and looked very sharp!
His best man and brother Rufftone was all spruced up as well in a purple shirt and a white suite to dress the occasion.
The rings were packed and ready for the big day.
The boys looked good, but something was missing..I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.
Aha! It was the happy socks! This was to help Owen not get cold feet. hehehe…
See the difference??
The party was moved to the church where everyone eagerly waited for the ceremony to begin.
Eric Omondi made his grand entrance with a selfie.
And the man of the day walked in with swag on steroids!
And more selfies were taken.
The brides maids gracefully made their walk down.
Finally, it was time for Farida to walk down the aisle. It was a moment to behold.
This is where grace met elegance.
Owen waited for his bride to be with bated breath as she walked down the aisle.
She looked divine!
Owen was accompanied by his squad to the very last moments of bachelorhood. #goals
His vows were so hilarious, Farida could not help it but burst out in laughter. It was hilarious but sweet.
Rings were exchanged..
And legal documents were signed. It was a wrap! They were man and wife.
They strutted out in style while everyone took a snap of them for it was a historic moment. The king of ‘kapungala’ was officially off the market.
Familiar faces were not left behind in the celebrating of the couple.
We briefly moved away from the crowd to have a small photo shoot at Radisson Blu Hotel. It’s a photographer’s dream come true.
Farida’s poses were effortless and glamorous.
The boys did not disappoint either. They looked dashing.
The show moved to the reception still in Radisson Blu and it was whirlwind of fun energy.
Everyone seriously got down and moved to the jig.
So many people want my job as you can clearly see
Bien, Delvin and Rufftone did not shy away and got down to the music.
What a party it was.
The happy couple finally got a chance to sit and rest from all that dancing. It was time for speeches.
Speeches were made and the families had to make sure that Farida was traditionally equipped with items to turn her house into a home. She proved that she was up to the task.
Eric Omondi did not miss the opportunity to show off his girlfriend during one of his stand ups. Funny man indeed!
Some of my famous friends were in attendance too 🙂
We all knew we were about to sweat when Sauti Sol went up on stage. The crowd was ecstatic!
The couple joined the musicians on stage and Owen joined them in singing to Farida ‘Sura yako mzuri mama..’
And Dr.Ofweneke would not miss this party too
And they danced some more..
Larry looks like he was deciding whether to join them on the dance floor or not. hehehe…
At long last, it was cake time!
See the funny faces they made as they fed each other huge chunks of cake. hehehe..
The evening ended with numerous selfies with the couple and more dancing. What a joyous day it was!

We had a post wedding shoot in Manera farm located in Naivasha. What an absolutely beautiful day it was to take pictures. It had rained almost the whole day and we almost lost hope, though God favored us and at dusk the skies cleared and we had the loveliest of weather to shoot
How beautiful is that bouquet? Courtesy of Bobo Weddings
This shot is one of the reasons I’m grateful for my job.
They were clearly made for each other.
Indeed, it lives nowhere else.
This picture just warms my heart 🙂
There’s only one thing more precious than our time and that is who we spend it on.
What stood out from their wedding day is how expressive they were as a couple. From fist pumping the air after the church service, to the joyful look on Farida’s face when she showed the new ring off to her bridesmaids, to dancing like nobody was watching, to the cake cutting, even to the post shoot! They were vivacious, fun and exciting to be around!
I totally loved this concept. Lots of beautiful colours and indeed beautiful people too.
Some goofy behind the scenes!!
There’s nothing more beautiful than finding the one God created for you, and spending the rest of your life loving each other as God intended it to be.
Of old tractors & beautiful moments
It was a real pleasure to capture your big day, Owen & Farida. You’re an exceptional and very loving couple. May God bless you and your marriage.
