It is our sincere love & joy, with the grace of our loving Lord & Saviour to be able to share with you another wonderful wedding we recently shot. Of late, God has really blessed us with the privilege of meeting & interacting with some really awesome and amazing people and getting to document & share their lives has been such a wonderful joy for Faith & I.
My sincere apologies on my sporadic blogging….life has really gotten crazy of late, with our wedding & all, that even getting the required 4 hours to blog has become so rare…but with God’s grace He will enable us to do it all without losing our minds. Today, I present you with Eric & Rose, some of the two most amazing people this world has to offer. Eric & Rose live & work in Canada, and as usual jetted into the country a few days to their wedding. Incidentally, due to all that had to be done, Faith & I got to meet Eric & Rose on their wedding day, but they are the coolest people ever. Eric & I went to the same high school, Moi Forces Academy, and it was a joy getting to meet him again almost 13 years later 🙂 (Oh yes we are that ancient :)). Their wedding was so special…there are so, so many things I would love to say about Eric & Rose, but I will let the images tell this wonderful story of these beautiful people:
Ceremony :: PCEA Kahawa Sukari
Reception :: Tayiana Garden Spa
Photo-session :: Safari Park Hotel & Casino
Bridal Gown :: Group USA
Bridal Shoes :: Enzo Angiolini
Jewellery :: Zales
Assisting :: Mike Karuri
Photography :: Gathoni & I
Loved Eric’s shoes…yes the message was loud & clear for all to see :), just incase one forgot 🙂
The socks did it for me, will have to get me a pair too!
The rings!!!!! oh my, the jeweller really has his/her act together
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend 🙂
I did not know that Vera Wang had a line of men’s cologne!!! How cool is that?
Oh my and this cute dog can do the model poses too 🙂
Eric gives the dog its regular morning tummy-tickle 🙂
The wedding invite was a winner, oh they were so keen on their wedding detail, which for Faith & I was an A+
‘Someday, someone will walk into your life and make you realise why it never worked out with anyone else’ 🙂
Eric gets suited up
The Tux fitted quite well
Style is everything!!!!
Eric helps his bro too
Oh those socks!!!! someone steal them for me 🙂
The guys, black & white never looked better!
On the other side, things were just getting started as the girls got their prep on!
As always I shoot the details 1st…and Rose had gone all out with her details
Simple yet so exquisite
Hahahah happy ladies
We cannot spend a second away from our phones
The perfect skin doesn’t come easy 🙂 A set of fine brushes will do!
Live streaming of make-up tips 🙂
Loved Rose’s engagement ring & nail art too!
Yep, that’s our lovely bride of the day
It had to be perfect to the finest detail
Getting into her gown
Hahahah good times 🙂
You have to get some place to grab on while the straps are being tightened or else you will find yourself on the floor staring at the ceiling 🙂
I see you 🙂
I have no idea what excited Rose this much!
This has to be my best cologne shot ever!
Those caught-unaware shots are always money-shots 🙂
Rose is received by Eric’s mum
The joy of the LORD was evident in her face
The ladies said that the bride was too beautiful to walk on her own, so they decided to give her a human-lift to the car 🙂
Loved this shot 🙂
Simple is the way to go nowadays
A jubilant Eric is walked down the aisle…oh such a wonderful moment
Finally the moment we had all been waiting for!
Rose finally walks down the aisle to her awaiting dashing groom
And Eric was all smiles
Truly a Kenyan love story
That special handing over moment
Loved the way Rose held the vows for Eric to read
With this ring, I thee wed!
And the pen awaits its moment of glory
And it finally arrived 🙂
They had a chance to say hi to family & friends in the congregation
After we were done with the ceremony, we left for Safari Park hotel for the portrait session
Good times we shared
The perfect photo-bomb!
It was so easy to photograph the guys, I just put them together & it was click, click, click!
After the ladies had finished powdering their noses 🙂 it was game on!!!
This was our attempt to have a seriously fierce photo 🙂
We just gave up on the ‘fierce’ part, their smiles were perfect!
Loved this shot too much, that’s why it had to make it to the cover of this post
Pretty!!!!! It’s amazing how God makes us all so diverse & beautiful in our own unique kinda way 🙂
Cutest pic ever
And the girls Aaaaaawwwwweeeeddd away as their lips locked 🙂
And we hit the outdoor…the sun was really harsh but we decided we had to make it work!
Reminds me of Humpty Dumpty and the falling off the wall 🙂
Indeed this was one big lovely bridal team
Its impossible to take a bad picture of Rose 🙂
These girls could work it!
There ladies & gentlemen, we have our January 2014 VOGUE cover 🙂
Ladies & diamonds 🙂
Time for some portraits with Rose
Looks like all the years of selfies were finally paying off 🙂 these girls could really work the camera
And we were not yet done…the ideas kept coming
And then they absolutely killed it with this one!
And when Eric did the dance, the ladies couldn’t handle it!!!!
Eric’s charm & charisma never fails him 🙂
And when Rose’s turn came, she brought her A-game and nothing less
The two brothers & Rose
The two brothers & their lovely wives, beautiful people!
After this we headed to Tayiana gardens for the reception and they had done a set up for 1,00o+ people….it has never looked this good
The cake topper was one of the most unique I have ever seen
The set-up was very well done
🙂 it was not that hard to guess who these seats were reserved for 🙂
When we got there the party was jumping!!! even under the blazing heat
It was dance like David…no holding back
Fashion was the order of the day…nothing was left to chance
Happy people…may this unending joy be the portion of their lives forever
The cake-cutting session was a spectacle on its own
Everybody was on a joyous high
Even the phones with no cameras came out to play 🙂
We had a mini 1st dance that was so so sweet
Finally the moment our taste glands had all been waiting for arrived 🙂
Hahahaha so many many wonderful moments
I wish I could put them all up…they were so so many wonderful images
Joy was so infectious, if only everyday was a wedding day
Hahahaha people came out of the closet with their best moves 🙂
And pop went the champagne 🙂
To a great great life ahead of Eric & Rose
The meet & greet was loads of fun too…we took so many images during this session, our fingers went nearly numb
So many family & friends
After that despite all our fatigue, we headed to the Safari Park for some final, last look portraits…this is where the grace of God sustains us
They made the old Elephant look so young 🙂
Giving Rose some time off her feet 🙂
And it was Eric’s turn next on the hot seat 🙂
This was Rose’s idea…I absolutely loved it
God bless Safari Park for letting us move furniture around 🙂
Oh what a refined gentleman Eric is!
Is it getting hot in here! or its just me?
That is one fiery bride & groom, definitely future coupes like us have a few tips and tricks to learn from these two 🙂
Time for some vintage shots
I just told Rose to spoil Eric, and spoil him she did 🙂
I told Rose that she sure does look like Nicki in this shots and we all laughed away 🙂
Hallway shots always do it for me!
Oh now, why ain’t I married yet 🙁
Fireworks literally 🙂
Love the way it lights up
For their Thank You card to appreciate all who helped in making this beautiful wedding happen
Hallelujah! These two are too hot for life!
Finally after all was said & done…it was time for them to order for a late night snack
And for the curtain call we took this amazing image…oh such wonderful people…in conclusion allow me to share with you, part of an email that Eric & Rose wrote to us…it sure did bring tears to our eyes
‘Eric and I would like to express our sincere gratitude for the pictures you captured on our wedding day. Every photo is amazing. Thank you so much for using your talent at our wedding. You are so gifted and we were the lucky recipients of this gift. We were truly honoured to have you as our photographers’
