Oh yes, it feels great to be back, to get to share our experience & love stories with you once again. GLORY BE TO GOD!. We have been well, God has been faithful to my wife & I…Before we kick off this post, I would implore you to take some time & watch this 4 minute video. It was the late great Dr. Myles Munroe speaking to Jeff Koinange about dying empty. This is my desire today for me & for everyone reading this post, that you will not die until you accomplish your God-given purpose in this journey of life
Today, I would love to share with you this amazing love story of Kevin & Diana…I asked Kevin how this love story came to be & this is what he said…
Diana and I met in Campus through a very special and mutual friend called Peter, who was also my roommate. It was one Saturday afternoon that he told me about his friend Diana and requested we pay her a visit.
It’s interesting that none of us fell for each other at an instance, what many refer to as love at first sight. Probably obvious to the fact that I was dating at that time. As for Diana she says she found me snobbish.
By nature am very polite or should I say quiet, Diana calls it shy. This mostly happens when I meet someone for the first time. I have heard it from many of my friends that before interacting with me there had been that perception that I am a snob; as I told you earlier Diana was one of them.
This is how she remembers the first meet; “Peter walks into my room with Kevin and does the usual introduction. The conversation was basically between Peter and I, as Kevin preferred playing a game of pool on my laptop which I was earlier playing. Shortly, Peter stepped out as he needed to pass by a friend elsewhere and would be back. I continued cooking as Kevin played his game on the laptop. We did not converse; I chose to ignore him as he was too quiet and a bit snobbish. I even remember texting Peter to come and get him.”
Much later we would frequent Diana’s room and this resulted to us being fond of each other and good friends. This was a total contrast from the first visit. At this point I was no longer dating and that meant both of us were single but we were just close friends.
Diana was a year ahead of me and when she had graduated we basically just kept in touch and the friendship was growing and we were now closer. She comes from Mombasa and was able to get an internship with KQ, meaning she would be in Nairobi during my 3 month long semester break. I took the bold step of asking her out on 1st July, that’s 7 years ago to be my girlfriend since we had now both developed feelings for each other. Fast forward the years, we got engaged on 1st July 2014, our dating anniversary and later married on April 11th, 2015.
Loads of Love,
Welcome to their love story

I absolutely adored their choice of rings
Kevin chose to rock a white blazer on this his glorious wedding day
Kevin a.k.a CEO had this for his accessories for the day…A day can never be complete without a cold Coke
Kevin & his mum pose with the beloved & bewildered family pet 🙂
As the rest of the guys grabbed something to chase the morning hunger
Groom’s gotta look dapper for his dazzling damsel 🙂
Cupcakes and me are borne of similar flesh
Spot D & K hanging out on the tree where they loved to hang out 🙂 This’ an artist impression though 🙂
Looked like someone here dislikes showers before breakfast 🙂
Kevin & the guys looking dapper in their slim fit suites
Loved this candid moment right here, so much joy & happiness crammed up in one photo
Then, we checked in at Diana’s to be greeted by the beautiful rays of the morning African sun
Cute little darling we met
Dee’s choice of heels for her wedding day
Michael Kors watches are becoming the new bridal fad
We love to style the bridal accessories with African bust sculptures, you cannot miss them in most African homes
This young son was working that clarinet good, will be a celebrated musician some day
Diana, did the make up for all of her bridesmaids, despite all the butterflies & chaos, she did a pretty stellar job
Natural hair brides are my favourite kind of bride
All the girls together
The colourful African lessos really spruced up this image
There can be no alternative to such happy moments, weddings are indeed made of such as this
Diana & Kevin are mini-lovers, and these classics cars formed the gist of their love story
These cars were real classics, we stopped traffic on Ngong Road often with masses ogling & waving in salutation
The set-up at Karen Country Lodge was done in very fine taste, they even had a red carpet rolled out for them
And typical of most processions, the bridal team danced their way in, to a rousing applause
Everyone scrambling to get the perfect shot, race, colour & creed notwithstanding 🙂
When Kevin & Diana 1st laid eyes & hands on each other 🙂
I took to practising my perspective shots that had been long in the planning
The young sir was entrusted with a very bulky & expensive responsibility 🙂 And he lived up to this expectation pretty well!
Laugh your way to a happy marriage 🙂
And just like that, we executed the aerial view of the century!
‘Peek-a-boo’ Bride edition 🙂
Diana glowing in magical beauty
Kevin’s folks welcome Diana to the family, welcome to the big league!
There is nothing quite like the Kenyan Ululation, they’re yet to invent an English idiom to best describe it
That is the smile of a man, contended with his choice 🙂
Everyone directs their hands & blessings towards them in prayer
And finally they got to kiss for the very 1st time as man & wife as we all cheered & championed them on
But wait, once was not enough, they had to do a confirmation kiss just in case the 1st kiss was not caught on camera
Hahahaha, I loved they way they look at each other, I call it the ‘Lover’s gaze’ 🙂
I loved the fact they got to share communion together on their wedding day. They bible tells us do so often in memory of Christ
And they took a selfie after they were done, how cool is that!
Kev & Dee do the David dance
After this we headed to Kephis Road to take some portraits beside the road
They rocked that vintage ride like it was some GQ look book
The girls rocked the naturale look perfectly
Shout out to the green cups, they made this shot pop! 🙂
The rugged wooden house provided the perfect backdrop for us
It was one tight squeeze but in the end we all fit. Thank God the floor did not give in under their feet. It would have made for the perfect photo-op though 🙂
This is my kinda location for a shoot…lost in the green jungle
Diana poses with the mini lovers
This should be the official poster for the Mini-lovers group Kenya 🙂
Gorgeousness & sophistication laid out in one photo
This was our feeble attempt at shooting a Sprite ad 🙂
We made one long, honking mini convoy…Karen was ours for the taking!
Is it now appropriate to say that selfies have taken over the world?
Break a leg, Diana & Kevin edition
The guys killed it with their afternoon look. The pink boutonnieres were the cherry on the cake
Diana throws it down, the only way she knew how, MAJOR!
The gentlemen tried unsuccessfully to topple Diana off her dancing-queen pedestal
The reception decor was done in equally grand taste. The ambient lighting & centre pieces topped the list
Roy & his wife Brenda looking amazing
Deejay Sanch took care of all our musical needs
This was indeed this kiss of the decade, I would prescribe this for every married couple…1X2 🙂
Their beautiful tree swims in an overflow of beautiful, heartfelt messages
Sane Vs Crazy, The crazies have it 🙂
After this we finalised the wedding with a last look at their honeymoon cottage
Loveliness is a great understatement when you talk about these two
So serene & quiet. The lovers’ tale
The cottage’s bathroom is a breath of fresh air from the norm
And with this last kiss, it was time for us to leave the newly weds to their antics :). It was a beautiful love story and we know that happiness, joy & lots of favour is what awaits the beautiful life they have just began. Indeed marriages made in God last, and last for eternities. We wish you all the love, blessings & favour that this new life holds.
With Love & God’s Gracious Blessings,
