Hi guys, we really did -from the very bottom of our hearts- indeed miss y’all so much. We had to take some little time away to get some of our stuff in order, great things are in store though, so keep refreshing. Our dear Lord has been so gracious to us, so much has been happening in our lives & we are really thankful to God for all His favour & kindness. To our good Lord be all the glory.
Today on the blog we feature another beautiful love story we had the pleasure of being part of some time ago. Getting to know Albert & Jacque has been one of the best moments of all time. One thing that Gathoni & I admired so much in them is the overwhelming love that their two beautiful children Sasha & Ria have for them & vice versa. One of the things we asked God for is a love like that in our family, we need to see more love like this in families…thank you Albert & Jacque for encouraging us all to love & live for our families.
These two lovebirds 1st met when Jacque was in college, Albert was working as a tutor in the same college. Jacque used to eye him, though as we all know that tutors are def off limits. A few months later Jacque’s laptop broke down & Albert (While he was fixing it :-)) took the chance to ask her out for a movie which she agreed 🙂 The rest, in order, was 2 babies, 1 wedding……and the rest as they say….is history 🙂
Here is the story of their beautiful wedding as documented through our lenses…sit back & indulge

A moment of silence as we all ogle at Albert’s choice of shoe…this gentleman does have taste
Loved, loved the unique design of their wedding rings
One of the groomsmen helps Albert to dress up. Since both Albert & Jacque reside in Ghana, they decided to incorporate a bit of Ghanian culture in their wedding outfits
Jacque had written a personal note to Albert on the morning of their wedding…it had him all teary & all…Jacque does know how to bring out the soft side from a grown man 🙂
Meanwhile at Jacque’s: tea was just getting served…it had been a while since I saw these aluminium kettles…reminds me of the days we used to go visit grandma growing up.
And being great fans of the outdoors, we hang Jacque’s flowing gown just by their house, taking utmost care not to let its hem touch the morning dew
Loved this shot much…we even managed to catch the water droplets 🙂
Their dashing son Ria is quite the gamer, I gather he & I have a deep need for speed 🙂
Jacque gets her hair did…she had to look her best for this day she had planning a long time
Ria’s gets his baby locks tweaked for the big day…every young boy deserves to rock em locks at some stage in his growing up!!!! They’re too cute
Their daughter Sasha (white dress), has to be the prettiest little girl. And she does love the camera, & the camera loves her right back
Finishing touches being done to Jacque
Ria goofs about with the videographer’s lens hood. These kids be too intelligent
Albert just ruined it for all the male species, when he sent to Jacque this personalised engraved bronze souvenir. Uuuuhhhh such romantics these two are!!!!!
Loved the girls dresses, the African touch was a win, win for me
The girls looking magical!!!!
After the prep was done, it was time to leave home for the ceremony & both her folks were at hand to give her away to Albert’s side of the family
The African lesso carpet is always a favourite for me…this is one tradition I pray will hang around for our kids to see!
And yes, the 1930s Ford was well represented. Jacque & Albert got the dream wedding convoy…the next image will drive this point home!
Yep…for all the mini lovers out there…Albert & Jacque stole the show & ran away with it all together. This was my dream come true
The minis were so very tiny & were in pristine condition. Kudos to Mini Lovers in Kenya for making A+J’s dream become a reality
This has to be the only way to ARRIVE to your wedding. All the other weddings ~~~~~~~~> just try 🙂
The ceremony set-up at Ridgeways park hotel was done really well. Small & intimate is the new ‘new’
A torn & worn out bible is evident to a life that is not!!!!!
And before long…the music was playing as the girls hit the aisle
Sasha was at hand to usher in the beautiful bride
With Iganza of Adawnage in the arena, the #Beardgang was well represented, he deserved a spot on the blog 🙂
Finally, Alberts puts a gold ring on it
1st kiss as husband & wife ****seals the deal!
Time for lunch I guess?
Time to leave….and Ria, Albert, Jacque & Sasha had one super fun family recession
After this we dropped by the nearby Windsor Golf Resort for some fun portraits
Ria looks like he will make one super star driver someday
Scratch that!!!!! lets just say that Sasha beat him at it….she was able to pick up some passengers too
Oh this sweet family…sweetest people in the whole world
Loved this picture right here
Albert with the guys
Jacque with the girls rock it out
Happy father & daughter moment
We decided to bring the minis out & have some little fun with the miniature monsters
Loved the expression on the little boy’s face
There was a lot of kissing going on here
I have a soft spot for this little minis
The reception set up was amazing….and the weather was lovely too
After this we were back to Ridgeways for some more song & dance
Took some portraits of the guests…one of my fav moments in every wedding, getting to meet new people
They must be all siblings, their resemblance is remarkable!
DJ Soxxy is slowly taking over the ‘King-of-selfies’ crown
And some more dancing…it was so sweet that when Sasha & Ria saw their parents stand up to dance, they ran up & joined them. I sniffed a tear at this moment 🙂
The African print was incorporated in their cake design
And they all cut the cake together 🙂 I so want a family like this
The bouquet toss was really something!! when Jacque tossed it, the little girl at the forefront jumped highest & caught the bouquet…well, am not sure she really understood what catching the bouquet meant 🙂
With the awesome guys from Adawnage band. They really did entertain us the entire afternoon!
Loved the images on their signatory book. Lovely idea this is to have at your wedding
We found some tall savannah grass by the road side & shot away
As we shot, cars & bikes were whizzing by, we shot all the same 🙂
After this we went to Sankara for some last look images
This has to be the scariest place to stand in Sankara. They have a transparent floor above 7 flights of spiral stairs…Just standing at this point makes one all dizzy & all. If you have not tried it, please make sure you do! (BucketlistTings)
Something we had wanted to experiment with in a long time.
More dizzying heights 🙂
And with this it was time to get the groove on!!! The evening party was held at Avalon Tavern in Lavington
Their 1st dance was heavenly. They danced to Shania Twain’s – From this moment. Made me feel like getting married all over again
The food was real good….well, lets just say there was hardly anything left when we were done 🙂
This is what happened when the beat dropped 🙂
We had to take an image with these awesome people before we called it a night…very, very tiring but fulfilling 19 hours of shooting & running about. Beautiful, beautiful love story this was.
We wanted to end this lover’s tale with a gorgeous image of Albert & Jacque. Knowing Albert & Jacque has been such a blessing in our lives. They not only become loving clients, but also friends…and we talked on end about life as they also gave us a glimpse of what living & working in Ghana is all about.
I remember them telling us, that when Jacque found out about us, she was set on who she wanted to shoot her wedding. She told Albert about it & then forgot about it. Albert went ahead & reserved us for their wedding date without telling Jacque. When Jacque was finally let in to our little secret, she was beside herself with excitement. Gathoni & I really hope that we were able to adequately document this momentous occasion for you guys & keep this precious moments for eternity.
We Love You Both so much….
God’s abundant blessings always & forever,
