I had blogged this shoot sometime towards the beginning of this year, but it somehow vanished!!!!!
Well, this is Wagura & Eve on the blog again, you will remember them from their beautiful white wedding which you can check out here.
Wagura & Eve were traveling back to the States & requested us to do an engagement session for them in the city. So, on one lazy afternoon we did this amazing shoot. As I had mentioned, we started off this shoot at Uhuru Park, and since we were unaware of the photography rules in the park we got the shock of our lives. A group of about 3 burly men approached us, and asked us whether we had permits to shoot within the park. They identified themselves as City council officials. They absolutely terrorised us and gave us all kinds of un-called for threats. They then proceeded to frog-march us to their office so that they would book us for the offence.
As if by a stroke of luck, they had a change of heart and told us that if we could ‘defend’ (Bribe) ourselves adequately they would let us go….at this point we smelt a big smelly rat!!! so when we asked them for official identification, they suddenly became devout christians and said that they had forgiven us and they let us to go…when we grabbed one of them and insisted for official ID, he took out a rugged college ID, flashed it on our faces and took to his heels….We had the laugh of our lives 🙂 we then proceeded to finish off the shoot, glad that we were now all the more wiser
Lesson of the day :: It is absolutely free to shoot within Uhuru Park 🙂

POW!!! and we were done…it was a short, sweet shoot & despite us being terrorised by the rogue city council officials, we still had the time of our lives…
Thanks for dropping by, and leave a comment if you can
