Well, am becoming a big fan of weddings that are out of the norm…I yearn for couples who want to break some rules & do it differently!
This was the case when Lydia contacted me to shoot her wedding, barely a week before it happened. I loved the idea from the word go & was absolutely on edge before the wedding with bated anticipation. The wedding turned out great, we shot for about 15 hours straight…but we had the time of our life…The wedding was greek themed while the reception was held at The Sankara, Nairobi.
Lydia is Kenyan while JT is Croatian.
Here are some of my favorites of the day…I will comment minimally today, so that not to ruin the already beautiful story….
Maric, his bro & mum looking quite relaxed the morning of his wedding
Maric prepping up for the big day
Faith & Pablo, my officially best videographers alive 🙂
We hurriedly left Maric’s & headed to where Lydia & the maids were doing their preparations
The beautiful bride looking the part
Instagram fans 🙂
The picturesque Greek Orthodox Church
Cutest ring bearer ever
The lavish ceremonies are my favorite!
Every guest was in the theme colors too…how awesome!
The portrait session got off to a good start
Been always waiting for an opportunity for this elevator shot 🙂
It was time for keeping fit
Next stop was the reception where it was all happening!
He just made my day
Come baby, come….
That was one cake I have not seen before!
I loved the cake series the most
I have no idea what was happening here…but it was really cute
Maric & his mum’s birthday were within a fortnight of the wedding, so we had a birthday celebration going round too
And a great great day ended….we all thank God, one of the most colorful weddings I have ever attended. Also happened to be my very 1st greek wedding to shoot…you think I travailed? 🙂
Thanks for your kind patience….God bless you always!
