Really excited about this wedding post. I thank God for the far that He has brought Faith & I, and we do believe, that the best is still ahead of us, and through Jesus Christ we will achieve everything we set our hearts too. Glory to the most high, King of Kings.
One of the weddings I loved most in the past year. I shot this wedding with another second shooter, Faith, who also happens to be the leader of the ladies at church had taken the ladies out for some ‘screening’ at the Aga Khan hospital. (Don’t ask me which screening :-)). All in all despite her absence we had a great time shooting the colourful wedding of the beautiful couple; Marjorie & Mwendwa.
I met the two a while back over coffee at T-Spot as they took me through what they had in mind and heart about their wedding. I was introduced to them by Jayjay who Mutua Matheka & I had covered his wedding a while ago. Despite the rain in the morning the day turned out much much better than we had anticipated and it was such a wonderful celebration of love.
Here is the story of their wedding day:
The maid of honour was quite surprised to see the final result of the make-up 🙂
Oh Marjorie was in good spirits the morning of her wedding
Her make-up was one of the best I have ever seen, always important to have a pro do your make-up *Note to future brides
There was enough joy going round!
An emotional moment as Marjorie leaves her home for the last time as a bachelorette
The rings’ shot is a never miss
The church ceremony was held at the beautiful NPC Karen, Marjorie is walked down the isle by her mum
An emotional moment during the service
The MC cracks us up! “And all the ladies say Oooh Yeaaah!!!”
The recession, always an awesome for capturing timeless moments
It was time to head out for the portrait sesion
The dashing bride!
We stepped indoors for some portraits too, the interiors had been done really well
Next the bridal party joined in
Mark the best man, looking sharp
The ladies looking lovely
They were really a fun team
We took this inside one of the rooms, the interior was amazing
Next we hit the reception
The ululating ladies were in position, welcomed us with song and dance
The groom served his bride, I found this quite unique and very romantic
The marine-themed cake was quite a sight to behold
Fun times during the cake ceremony 🙂
The newly weds shared one final dance to end the day…a wonderful wedding it was.
Lastly one of my fav images from their e-shoot, sometime before their wedding
Thanks for dropping by, Faith & I wish the newly weds a life full of love and the blessings of God!
